Elektronavn Sacred Songbook: Letters from Emptiness
CD/LP/Download from march the 23rd 2010
The Corinthians (from the Bible),
ancient Chinese Odes,
Japanese Zen knowledge and
19th century Danish poetry.
Timeless, spiritual and poetic texts confronted with 21th century hybrid soundscapes.
“And if ever I may be having prophecy
and I should know the mysteries and all the knowledge
if ever I may be having all the faith
Nothing I am” (from: Corinthians 13 & 14)
We are indeed happy to present this new long in the work album from Elektronavn. Now with reborn moniker...Sacred Songbook added. This album has been in the work for some years and everything comes out very refined and beautiful; The music and the artwork. Slightly different design on the CD and the LP – both looks just great and off course wrapped in environmental friendly paper. We're totally satisfied! Songs for the 21th century?

21th century hybrid songwriting:
Danish composer and musician Magnus Olsen Majmon is the prime spirit
behind this new songbased and hybrid sound art release from his own imprint Empty Sounds Rec.
Where Majmon's quite differentiated recent releases under the Elektronavn moniker primarily focused on instrumental sound art in longer forms, his new album under this new 'Elektronavn Sacred Songbook' moniker departs from ancient texts and unfolds as beautiful hybrid songs of shorter duration. The texts e.g. derives from such powerful
sources as The Corinthians (from the Bible), ancient Chinese Odes, Japanese Zen knowledge and 19th century Danish poetry. Timeless, spiritual and poetic texts confronted with 21th century hybrid soundscapes.
Besides from his vocals, Majmon colours his hybrid songs with a broad arsenal of both western and non-western instruments,
and on several tracks you'll also hear tonal colours from experimental viola-player Robert Karlsson and classically trained soprano Rebecca Persson.
All music composed, played and produced by Magnus Olsen Majmon 2008/2009 (#5 2007/09)

So finally we're running again! Re-arranging everything at these pages so we'll be ready for future releases here. Paypal buttons now pushable etc. All past cdr releases are (by now) out of print and we'll focus on the new stuff.
At first hand we're very glad of the 2CD re-issue of Elektronavn's collage and hybrid work 'Rationale Mystique // Audelŕ l'inconnu'. The print turned out quite beautifull and comes in a very nice textured ecopaper 6 panel digifile wih 8 page artbooklet.
Next up (hopefully late 2009) is looong in the making; Elektronavn Sacred Songbook: Letters from emptiness. A very beautifull album with calm songs on love and nothing surrounded by strangely beautiful soundscapes.

Cdr's:
At first hand… We will kickstart by releasing Elektronavn’s music on cdr, with releases of several other artists’ music planned during future time.
The esr Elektronavn release 'Songs of Impermanence' is out of print here because of a re-issue by finnish label Ikuisuus this summer with new coverartwork and stuff.
The simple songs of nothing band The Majmon Songbook has a simple ad-hoc release out now on esr.
