1000 years old "swing" assimilates with modernism, electronica and abstract improvisation
Medieval and Renaissance compositions, modernism, electronics and improvisation in one.
Izar plays both catchy and complex medieval and renaissance compositions, a.o. from the approximately 800 years old 'Manuscript du Roi' and mixes it with electronically processed sounds and aesthetics from modernism and improvisation. The music communicates over a period of approximately 1000 years. Ancient "swing" assimilates with modernism, electronica and abstract improvisation.
The group is originally a recorder and percussion duo. In 2012 the group expands their concerts with two guest star performers on key harp (nycleharpe) and computer. All group members are fully respected at their respective scenes (classical, composition, Nordic folk, improv). See more info below.

Pernille Petersen: Recorders www.pernillepetersen.dk
Pernille Petersen (b. 1983 in Denmark) had her critically acclaimed debut from the soloist class at the Carl Nielsen Academy in September 2010. Before that she had her diploma from the same academy in 2008 by Nicholas Ronimus with the highest grades in all subjects. She also studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Music by Lene Langballe and a year as guest student at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm with Dan Laurin.

Magnus Olsen Majmon (b. 1977 in Denmark) is a percussionist, sound artist, songwriter and more. He is also member of the Danish Composers' Society. He has his own record label Empty Sounds Rec. and has also had several releases out on various indie labels around the world. He holds a bachelor's degree in musicology and art history/aesthetics and a 3 year MGK in percussion. He has received a ton of laudatory reviews for his music/sound art world wide and has received grants from the Danish Arts Foundation in 2008 and 2010.
