death, philosophy, cosmic grasp and global politics.
*As a special feature Majmon teams up with the voice of danish singer Marie-Louise Munck
who acts as a gueststar and special colour on this album.

A classical soprano (Trine Vestergaard), a medieval hurdy-gurdy player (Søren Hammerlund) and an impro-guitarist (Stephan Sieben) were - one by one - asked to improvise in a long tunnel under some railwaytracks in the southwestern part of Copenhagen. Elektronavn/Magnus Olsen Majmon recorded it, computerized it and composed ‘Audelà l’inconnu (horisontal)’ were each part/layer is presented horisontally. This work was later on transformed into a hybrid vertical collage track ‘Audelà l'inconnu (vertical)’ where all parts were mixed together. Both works were recorded, composed and produced by Magnus Olsen Majmon 2005
Both albums are re-issues of former cdr releases on ESR. ‘Rationale Mystique’ has been revised; two tracks off/on + minor cuts + new track titles. #4 on this album has earlier been relased on 7” split-vinyl on BSBTA.

"New long-awaited release by Danish gentleman Magnus Olsen Majmon's ELEKTRONAVN. It is called "Quantum Vacuum", and like its predecessor "Cosmic Continuum" on the Finnish Ikuiisus label, sees Magnus plunge headfirst into some seriously disorienting and achingly beautiful, slug-like tonefloat. Very nice... Magnus has a unique approach which applies a human depth as well as a metaphysical longing for the outer 'dark'. His compositions gently flutter across a broad canvas on which he smears anything from fragile invocations for gently plucked guitar and bamboo flute, incidental environmental sounds, to awkward tape-work and stately kitchen-sink ragas. Pink Luminous Invocation: Sings the Blues [not not fun] CS
PLI have been preaching the “Peace, Love, Invisibility” gospel for at least a few years at this point, radiating sub-radar FX resplendence across a grand handful of subtle CDRs and shows, but Sings The Blues stands strikingly apart from their crouch-core past and is all the better for it. Raw hybrid soul dirges of commune lament and hypnotic mourning resurrected from dirt drums, wicker guitar, and ancient electric melancholy. Intense ballads of transformation, chains giving way to God, hope turning to flight. Two women, two men, constant sorrow. This young Danish underground pedal family have never sounded so up on their feet, momentous, musical. Break on through. An impending LP should further plumb the dark Invocation behind the Pink Luminosity. Elektronavn AKA Magnus Olsen Majmon is a Danish sound sculptor that shapes a claustrophobic, almost physical experience with haunting drones constructed from an arsenal of instruments such as clarinet, distorted voice, guitar, organ, flute, gong, harp, field recordings and percussion.
The music is pretty much impossible to lump into any particular genre but there is a significant folk vibe that runs through a lot of the music, even the more experimental and psychedelic parts. This might have something to do with the ample use of exotic instrumentation, but the end result goes far beyond folk music, providing an abstract gateway of overtones that are bent beyond the world of imagination to a spiritual figure, greater than you and me.

pink luminous invocation is a new quartet hailing from the nordic confines of denmark. this, their debut release, sees two guys and and one girl battling it out in a thicket of organic drones and ethereal harmonies. with hints of the irish deserted village collected, pink luminous invocation's sound is shrouded in mist. using everything from bells and toy keyboards to clarinets and zurnas, it floats around the edges of the forests, unsure of whether or not its safe to enter the magick wood. it is improvisation on a massive scale. while bowed strings lift their arms skyward, the woodwinds flicker underneath a blanket of stars, and we all listen to these three voices sing us toward the dawn. 100 copies
